Conducted by Katie Hawks and Mark Tinkler, CCO plays a range of music – Renaissance, Balkan, South American and almost anything else – all its own inimitable style. The orchestra consists of children and adults who play a range of instruments incl. Violins, Accordion, Clarinets, Double Bass, Ukuleles, Flutes, Auto Harp, Bassoon, Melodica and Guitar.
Founded in 2012 to play at a Cambridge jubilee celebration, the orchestra is open to all and rehearses during term time at St. Matthews Primary School, CB1 2LD on Sunday evenings (6pm – 8pm). Members include several St. Matthews families and St Mathew’s head teacher!
