Carmen – Part 3 – Feb/Mar 2020 in Mostar, Bosnia & Herzegovina.
For 5 years now, CAMS Music Trust and EPOC have been visiting schools in the city of Mostar, Bosnia & Herzegovina. Last Autumn in Cambridge, we were proud to host a concert of the Mostar University Musical Arts Study Programme with their conductor Igor Tatarević together with Head of Musical Arts Studies FPMOZ, Mostar University Dr. Lidija Vladić-Mandarić. In Mostar this in Feb 2020, we took Carmen to 12 schools (Primary, Secondary and Special) – 6 on each side of the bridge – with the idea of then bringing them all together for a concert later in the year. With existing funding from Sir Richard Stilgoe, we worked with schools that draw their pupils from the predominantly Croatian/Catholic and Bosniak/Muslim areas.
